IT Offshore - Cherio Webshop

IT Offshore has recently completed the demo site of Cherio Mydeco Webshop in Magento.

 

Mydeco is a group of 8 online stores hosted in a single Magento with over 130,000 products.
The products are imported via xml feeds. Our main challenge was finding a solution for importing single large sized feeds (80-90 MB) with approximately 75,000 – 80,000 products. We were able to overcome this through thorough research and testing of our import script in the existing system. Currently our import script can import upto 90,000 products. The products are updated on a weekly basis for the different stores via scheduled crons.

Future Work - We are currently testing the import of feeds upto 1GB in size. Such a file size contains approximately 350,000 products.
